![]() I believe to date it doesn't run SMUX for 96khz. The only thing I'm missing at this point is digital control of ADAT with the 2882. Monitor output graphs that allow for bass management with my sub, timing delays for speaker alignment, speaker EQ if I want (which I don't need presently). Monitor Control monitoring in 5.1, 2.1, 2.0, Cans, Small ref speakers. and decide to print dry and or wet, dry/wet mix, you name it. Huge virtual mixer with excellent routing. I have a ULN8 and a 2882 running at 96khz in a surround setup. I should check it out because I've heard nothing but great praise for it. it's 2018 - most computers now are so capable that worrying about a few % of CPU usage seems beside the point.Īren't the MH plugins in VST/AU/AAX the same algorithms that live in the Console? Including Character?Īlso, how is 2882 upgraded to 3d working at 96K? Anyone using it at that rate in surround setup?I don't use the production bundle, mainly because I have a plethora of other plugins that I have gotten accustomed to. 90% of my use is there because, again, if I need to automate something, I can.Īnd, for the DSP thing. The MIO mixer doesn't do that.īut I have the Channel Strip in PT and use it a lot. And, aside from the wider variety of plugs in PT, the elephant in the room is automation - too much stuff gets rides, mutes, pans, modulated, dry/wet mix changes, etc. I use a lot of plugs in PT - the AAX ecosystem is much larger than what MH offers in the mixer, which makes sense, as the MH plugs are proprietary. LOL.The MIO mixer is a part of every session for me - almost entirely as a summing box and master buss analog I/O. But it may just be moving over to a different way of thinking. As I said, I don't understand why or see the need. I just don't see the need PERSONALLY for MH to provide DSP for the native plugins. Otherwise, they're all MH plugins in the MIO Console. I have a bunch more but these are the ones I use the most. I still use some native MH and UAD and other plugins - reverbs like Altiverb and LX480L. Feeding the DAW faders to the MIO Console is just a no-brainer to me now. I adopted the MH mixer console addendum to the Native DAW paradigm decades ago, it seems. Really stoked to start tracking violin and guitars next week. I got all my issues worked out (not sure what Logics problem is), patchbay sorted, made a new desk (yay IKEA desk parts!), finished off the rest of the 703 I’ve had laying around and got it mounted, captured a few large wolf spiders I’ve kept around for cricket control and my set up and room are totally rocking. And when they take the exception to that rule, you end up with 3 year long threads of complaints. I’m pretty happy using the MH channel strip in Logic, that and Nimbus/R4 is pretty much the totality of my plug use.Īlso, for anyone clamoring for info on a MH road map, it’s always good to remember they, as a rule, don’t talk about that stuff. I suppose if it was easy to implement, they would, but I look at most of the MIO plugs as particularly useful for tracking and for MHs large market of FOH. That market is saturated and frankly, it's not MH's character that will make a relatively recent computer suffer.Yeah, I’m not sure I see this as being MHs primary market. I find it hard to believe they will ever off-load their own plugins to their boxes. I'm connected to the ULN-2 through ethernet via an OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock. I've tried multiple apps and multiple filetypes and sample rates as well. The noise doesn't start immediately, sometimes takes about 4 minutes of browsing on Chrome before it occurs, but once it starts, it gets worse and worse until I switch back to the playback app. I've been following the pops and clicks issues that folks have been posting about, but I wouldn't classify this as "pops and clicks"-more like sample rate mismatch or CPU dropouts that make the audio completely unlistenable. To be fair, I've only had Mojave installed for a little over a week, so I didn't get a ton of time with PB3 and Mojave, but I have had 3D installed since the first PB was released, and nothing like this has occurred. This has only started since I installed PB4. When I switch the playback app to the foreground, the playback immediately resumes normally. #Playback in mio console pro#ULN-2 with PB4 installed on 10.14 (and now 10.14.1) on a macbook pro 2016 (touchbar), when playing back audio from multiple apps, if I open other another application, such as Chrome and spend some time with the audio playing in the background, I start to experience serious glitching, distortion, and dropouts. Hi all-i reported this issue to MH, but curious if anyone else is experiencing it or just my system: ![]()
